Regain the Right to Bare Arms

Dr Joanna Lovatt - Attractive woman trying on a hat. Happy summer shopping.

Move over backless, the scariest dress style this summer is actually sleeveless. At this time of year, most of us start to think seriously about our summer wardrobes with the excitement of a new, sunny season ahead. For the 4 out of 5 women who are unimpressed with their upper arms though, it is also this time when the safety of sleeves disappears.

If the sight of strappy tops and dresses leaves you reaching for the nearest cover-all cardigan you are not alone, but there is no need to literally sweat it anymore during the summer months. Amazing treatments are available which can help you regain your right to bare arms and give you the confidence to choose any dress from the collection this season.

Elle Magazine recently championed cryolipolysis as one of the popular new non-surgical procedures available and I completely understand why.

As part of 3D Lipo, I offer cryolipolysis, ultrasound cavitation and radio frequency treatments. These are all highly effective in fat reduction, body contouring and skin tightening - including on the upper arms.

From bingo wings to arm charms, there are many names for the various types of upper arm issues, none of which make them any easier to live with. One common problem that causes arm anxiety is the appearance of excess fat between the shoulder and the elbow. Regardless of how slim or not the rest of the body may be, it is particularly difficult to tone the back of the upper arm. This means pockets of fat can easily build up there – and stubbornly remain.

Another problem that causes many women to feel self-conscious is loose skin hanging around the upper arm area, often as a result of weight loss.

Whether you are troubled by excess inches, untoned areas or saggy skin, 3D Lipo can help you fall back in love with your arms again, giving you the opportunity to shine this summer.

If you are after general inch loss for your upper arms, then ultrasound cavitation gives excellent results with no need for any invasive procedures, anaesthetic or downtime. It uses a strong wave of pressure to destroy fat cells which are then disposed of naturally by the body. The treatment is pain free and initial results can be seen straight away.

For stubborn pockets of fat that simply refuse to shift, I offer cryolipolysis. The treatment is able to target specific areas and so is very popular for banishing ‘bingo wings’. Again, the process is pain free and requires no downtime so you need not take any time off work or waste a weekend.

As part of these fat reduction treatments or to solve skin problems after weight loss, I recommend radio frequency treatment. This encourages the skin to produce more collagen and elastin, leaving your arms looking smoother, healthier and younger in no time.

This summer lose the cover-up cardigans once and for all by regaining the right to bare arms. Contact me by phoning 01722 632633 or 07493 520517 to arrange a free consultation so you can spend the season glowing with happiness, rather than heat.
