The A-Game in Anti-Ageing

The Golden Globes, the Grammys, the BAFTAs and the Oscars – awards season has landed. All around us the great and the good of Hollywood, Bollywood and Pinewood are out to impress on the red carpet with their perfect outfits, perfect hair, perfect skin and... well, there goes dry January!

While our clothes and hair can be simple to change, our complexion is sadly more complicated. If the thought of young, beautiful skin has you reaching for comfort rather than feeling confident, don’t worry – there is a new treatment in town.

Over time, our bodies naturally begin to produce less collagen and elastin, meaning our skin becomes less firm and elastic. The unwelcome results are those dreaded fine lines and wrinkles we see appearing in the mirror before us. Chronologic ageing is not the only factor that leads to our skin looking less than lovely though, photo-ageing can also play a big part.

Photo-ageing is the premature ageing of the skin caused by light. Mostly this is due to UV light from repeated sun exposure, but other sources can be to blame as well. There is even growing concern that the blue light emitted by screens can be part of the problem, though please don’t stop reading this in order to turn off your device!

Photo-ageing affects many of us and delivers a variety of damage to our skin including fine wrinkles, deep creases and sun spots. It can also be responsible for melasma, the distressing dark freckles and patches that appear around the nose, cheeks, forehead, upper lip and chin.

All of these issues cause our skin to betray us, making us look older than we are or just older than we feel. Either can hold us back and put a dent in our confidence – unless we take action.

Retinoic acid is the latest A-game agent in anti-ageing treatment. Recently hailed on the TV programme, Trust Me I’m A Doctor, it acts like vitamin A to give your body a boost and help your skin to look healthier, firmer, smoother, lighter and lifted. It is the gold star product for fighting both ageing and photo-ageing.

Thankfully, this A-game product doesn’t have to be the sole preserve of A-listers. I offer the new retinoic acid non-invasive facial peel from Mask Professional - the best available. It can be used to treat fine lines, wrinkles, melasma and other photo-ageing on the face, neck, hands and cleavage – the areas most prone to problems. The treatment is quick, simple, pain free and requires no down time, so it is a great option even if your 2018 diary is already beginning to fill up.

It will leave your skin smoother, more hydrated and with a glowing, even tone – bringing back its youthful vitality.

I’m proud to say that I’m the first on the South coast to offer this retinoic acid treatment, so if you would like to see how it can rejuvenate your skin, please call 01722 632633 or 07493 520517 to book a free consultation and get your skin red carpet ready and prepare to take on the new year with confidence!
