It’s the beginning of a new year, the time when we look forward and determine make our lives better than ever. Many of us will have made New Year’s resolutions involving health and fitness – and by now many of us will have already have abandoned them!

Kick-starting your new regime can be hard, but there are some excellent options to help you make 2018 the year you get in shape.

Last year, according to figures from Twitter, the top 5 resolutions were to exercise and diet, read more, learn a new skill, save money and be a nicer person. These are all positive choices, but despite this only 8% of us will keep our resolutions – why?

The reality is that the majority of us have the best of intentions, but we choose unsuitable targets. We go for the miraculous, rather than the manageable and quickly become disheartened when reality hits home. There is nothing wrong with aiming high of course, we just need to set the right goals. It is much better to go for specific and measurable resolutions, rather than generic ones.

Adding a timescale and breaking down our goals into smaller parts can also help us focus and feel we are making progress.

However, even if we’ve set a super target to get our body in shape, there may still be a big blocker standing in our way – the mirror. If you’re unhappy with your body, it can be difficult to don the lycra and start a spin class - we naturally feel awkward and self-conscious before we’ve even got out of breath! If this is your experience then don’t worry, I offer top options that can help kick-start your campaign.

These options are all part of 3D Lipo, a non-surgical alternative to liposuction popular with both men and women. 3D Lipo gives instant results, is virtually pain free leaving no scars and requires no down time – perfect to push you forward, not hold you back. It includes ultrasound, radio frequency and vacuum rollering treatments which can be combined or selected individually to suit your personal preferences.

Ultrasound cavitation is the best choice for general inch loss and is especially effective on tums, bums and thighs. It uses a strong wave of pressure to break down fat cells which are then naturally disposed of by the body.

For help to make your skin look younger and firmer, I recommend radio frequency. This uses energy to penetrate the skin layers and encourage production of collagen and elastin. The result is tighter, smoother skin that looks younger and healthier – what every swimsuit calls for. If you are troubled by cellulite then try vacuum skin rollering as well to improve the appearance of those dreaded dimples.

Whether you want to start or re-start a resolution, I can create a bespoke course of treatments to help you reach your goals. Please call 01722 632633 or 07493 520517 to book a free consultation and help make 2018 the year you get in great shape.
